TASTING NOTES

Bright and aromatic, this Pecorino opens with notes of jasmine and peach layered over pink grapefruit and crisp green apple, with a flinty, mineral edge on the finish. It's a lively, food-friendly white built for sipping alongside pecorino cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lemon risotto, or grilled prawns.

DESCRIPTION

Pecorino is a light bodied, refreshing white wine from coastal vineyards in Italy. It’s the perfect food friendly wine for any occasion big or small.

Pecorino, meaning “little sheep” in Italian, is a beautifully light skinned white grape varietal found particularly in the lush, rolling hills of Abruzzo. The wines produced are fresh and mineral, straw-yellow in color and have an elegantly floral bouquet of acacia and jasmine. In the mid 20th century Pecorino was thought to be extinct until the early 1990s when some long forgotten vines were found and propagated. Over the years the varietal has become increasingly popular. At high altitude on the coastal vineyards of Abruzzo the wine produces wine with salinity and floral notes.
