Coteaux du Giennois is a small, lesser-known appellation, but its wines can rival those of its more famous neighbors, Sancerre and Pouilly Fume. This wine is everything you want out of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the distinct flinty minerality that the region is so well known for.
Sauvignon Blanc bunches are hand harvested from vines growing in a unique mixture of silex, limestone and clay near the banks of France's Loire River. This flinty soil adds a distinct minerality to the wines produced here. After a gentle pressing the wine ferments under cool temperatures, preserving its lively citrus and floral aromas. Truly a baby Sancerre!
