Literally meaning “green wine,” Vinho Verde is actually a white wine that is expressive, crisp, zippy and delicious. With a slight sparkle and lower alcohol (10% ABV), Lot 205 is the epitome of a crushable wine.
This wine comes from a blend of grapes that are grown in the coastal vineyards of Minho, in northwest Portugal. There, with warming influences from the Minho River, grapes ripen easily despite the cool, rainy climate. Traditionally Vinho Verde can consist of any of the following native varietals: Alvarinho, Arinto, Azal, Avesso, Loureiro, and Trajadura. This wine is made from a blend of these grapes.
