TASTING NOTES

This Moscato is playfully effervescent with notes of white flowers, chamomile, jasmine, and fleshy grape. Subtly sweet, the wine is balanced with zesty acidity and a hint of frothiness. Pairs well with spicy Indian curry, sushi, or alongside your favorite funky cheese.

DESCRIPTION

VIVINO 4.2 RATING

Low Alcohol 7% ABV

This playfully effervescent and tastefully sweet sparkling wine is made from Moscato Bianco grapes harvested from vineyards around the Italian town of Asti. At only 7% ABV, Lot 134 is light, refreshing and delicious.

Moscato is a classic wine in Northwestern Italy’s Piedmont region. Unlike other sparkling wines like Champagne and Prosecco, Moscato only undergoes a single fermentation. It is also a wine that is made for ultimate freshness. Newly pressed grapes are filtered, chilled, and stored as unfermented grape must until the wine is ready for consumption. The single fermentation is stopped when the wine reaches about 6%, resulting in a fresh and fizzy wine with zesty acidity and a good dose of sweetness.
