DESCRIPTION
The wine region of Mendoza is perched at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, and is Argentina's largest viticultural area. There, vineyards stretch from the Mendoza River out towards the mountains and average over 3,000 feet in elevation. While the region may be known as one of the world's premier Malbec regions, this high elevation area also produces world class Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 6 months in a blend of new and recently used French oak.
TASTING NOTES
A melody of black currants and red cherries rises above a backdrop of leather and cocoa. On the palate, you’ll taste juicy, dark berry fruit along with a trickle of sweet spice and savory plums.
