DESCRIPTION

France’s Rhone Valley is a superb example of a “classic” wine region, where vines have been growing for centuries. Lot 162 Cotes du Rhone is a traditional Southern Rhone Grenache/Syrah red blend that showcases the essence of this great region.

This wine is made from a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah hand-harvested from select vineyard plots scattered about France’s Southern Rhone Valley. In this dry, Mediterranean climate, vine roots dig deeply into the valley’s soils of limestone and clay. The grapes are de-stemmed and fermented under cooler temperatures to preserve the fresh fruit and savory character of the wine.
