90+ Cellars Test Kitchen: Spicy Watermelon Frozé

We’re back in the kitchen, and this time things are getting a little spicy. No rules, just a great bottle of rosé and a fun idea. Welcome back to the 90+ Cellars Test Kitchen.

Made with juicy watermelon, crisp 90+ Cellars Lot 33 Rosé, and a subtle jalapeño kick, this frozen drink hits that perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. Let’s get into it.

Why Lot 33 Works So Well in a Frozé

90+ Cellars Lot 33 Rosé is crisp, refreshing, and easygoing, which is exactly what you want in a frozen drink. It works with the watermelon, keeps the lime bright, and doesn’t compete with the jalapeño. Everything comes together smoothly, and you can still taste the wine even after blending.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices fresh watermelon, cubed
  • ½ lime, juiced
  • 1 bottle 90+ Cellars Lot 33 Rosé
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (plus extra for garnish)
  • Tajín (for rimming the glass)
  • Ice (for blending)

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it in Tajín for a spicy, citrusy kick.
  2. Add the watermelon, lime juice, rosé, jalapeño slices, and ice to a blender. Blend until slushy.
  3. Pour into your rimmed glasses and top with fresh jalapeño slices.

Pro Tips for the Best Frozé

  • Freeze your watermelon beforehand for a thicker, frostier texture
  • Adjust the spice level by removing jalapeño seeds for less heat or adding more slices for more
  • Chill your rosé ahead of time to keep everything extra refreshing
  • Make it ahead and store in the freezer, then re-blend before serving

Refreshing, a little spicy, and very easy to make. This is your new go-to summer drink. Enjoy!
