Lodi, California is known as the "Zinfandel Capital of the World," and for good reason! The region’s unique soil composition provides the perfect environment for Zinfandel vines to thrive. Lot 180 is quintessential Cali Zin, full of bold, ripe fruit and plush tannins.
The fine, sandy, well-draining loam soils of Lodi impart distinctive characteristics to the Zinfandel grapes, resulting in a wine that shows floral aromas, red fruit notes, and a soft tannin profile. Additionally, because of Zinfandel’s propensity to ripen unevenly, even within the same bunch, both flavor types can come across in the wine – a perfect mix of jammy and fresh. Sweet baking spices from maturation with new oak helps round out the palate and provide tannin structure.
