TASTING NOTES

This wine is deep purple-red in color with aromas of fresh strawberries and violets. Take a sip and a light touch of effervescence accompanied by flavors of plum and wild berries emerge. This refreshing, versatile wine pairs fantastically with the lightest of appetizers or the heartiest cured meats and aged cheeses.

DESCRIPTION

Low Alcohol 8% ABV

If you’re looking for an authentic bubbly red, look no further than Lot 172 Lambrusco. This sparkling wine comes from the Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC, considered by many to be the finest DOC for Lambrusco. Bursting with fresh red fruit and frothy bubbles, this wine is nothing short of delicious.

Lambrusco grapes are planted in sand, silt and marl soils on the Apennine foothills in the south of Emilia-Romagna. The sloping vineyards and slightly heavier soils produce a concentrated wine that is rich in flavor and accompanied by some sweetness. A cool fermentation preserves the wine’s fresh red fruit aromas and minimizes the extraction of tannin from the skins. Like Prosecco, Lambrusco is made using the Charmat method.
