DESCRIPTION

Burgundy has been known for centuries for its elegantly scented Pinot Noir wines of ethereal beauty. Lot 160 is no exception. Made by a small, acclaimed producer, this wine uses fruit entirely grown in the Cote d’Or, making this one stellar value for a red Burgundy.

This wine is made from 100% estate grown Pinot Noir by a fifth generation winemaker. Warm summer sunshine ripens the grapes to near perfection while cool nights extend the growing season leading to a wine with both freshness and finesse. Grapes are hand harvested and 100% destemmed prior to fermentation. Vinification is done in the Burgundian tradition of open tanks for 10-15 days with regular punch downs. The finished wine is lightly pressed and mature in neutral barrels for 8 months.
