Dolcetto d'Alba is one of seven Dolcetto-focused DOC
wines produced in Italy's north-western Piedmont region. It is
considered the most notable of the Dolcetto classified reds.
There, vines are planted on slopes with sandy, calcareous soils.
On estate-grown vineyards, hand selected grape bunches undergo a soft crushing prior to fermentation using selective yeasts which accentuate the wine’s clean and fragrant red and dark berry fruit aromas. Post fermentation the wine is racked o solids and held in tank where it matures for several months prior to bottling.
The wine is bright ruby red in color with lasting aromas of dark berries and cherries. A beautifully structured red, this wine is ready to drink now, or after cellaring for 3 to 5 years.
