    DESCRIPTION

The Dão is one of the oldest wine regions in Portugal, located just south of the famous Douro Valley. The vineyard in which this wine originates is set alongside the mountain ranges of Serra da Estrela and Caramulo. There, grapes grow in ancient sandy granite soils, where tannin and acid develop to produce wines with elegance and longevity.

Perfectly ripe grape bunches are hand harvested from high altitude vineyards. The wine is made from a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz, and 30% Alfocheiro -- all native Portuguese grapes.

    TASTING NOTES

Medium-bodied with lush red berry fruit flavors and undertones of chocolate and mocha, accompanied by a refreshing brightness and a long spicy finish. Pair it with crispy roasted chicken, fried potatoes, or a plate of fresh cheeses.
