DESCRIPTION

Rustic, earthy, and often compared to Burgundy, Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley is truly world class. Made from grapes grown in the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range mountains, Lot 137 is the essence of this small but dynamic region.

On south-facing slopes, grapes receive the ideal combination of sun and fog, resulting in fully ripened Pinot Noir that maintains freshness. The grapes are destemmed, crushed and fermented in small opened-topped tanks. Regular punch downs allow for gentle extraction of flavors, color and tannins. Once complete, the wine matures for approximately 4 months prior to bottling. The resulting wine is beautifully balanced and energetic, with a smooth and refreshing finish.

TASTING NOTES

This Pinot Noir is a day-bright ruby red with garnet tinges, offering aromas of fresh raspberries and strawberries above a fragrant mix of rhubarb, violets, clove, and cedar. It is beautifully balanced and energetic, finishing smooth and refreshing. It's an ideal red wine to pair with wild mushroom risotto, whole-roasted chicken with sage and garlic, or a plate of fresh bread and soft cheeses.
