This wine was made from meticulously tended Malbec grapes grown on high-elevation, old vines in the Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza, in the foothills of the Andes. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is fermented in stainless steel before being aged for 6 months in a blend of new used French oak.
Deep ruby-purple in color, this wine boasts exquisite aromas of blackberries, blueberries, plum and spice. It is well balanced with ample structure and mild tannins. Dark cherry and hints of wood smoke emerge on the finish to leave an elegant and lasting impression.
- Alcohol: 13.90%
- Bottle Size: 750 ml
- Varietal: Malbec
This Malbec is a very good everyday table wine. It’s an excellent value. However it’s not quite as good as the 2017 varietal.
This elegant 90+ 2017 Malbec has a plush color and rich aroma. You will taste the fruity complexity along with the pleasant earthiness as you sip through it. Enjoy on special occasions or every day. The price point belies it’s superb quality.
Enjoyed drinking this Malbec, but think it would have been better to wait a few years
First encountered this wine at an upscale local restaurant. One of the best Malbec's that I ever had the pleasure of tasting. Ordered a case from Ninety+Cellars and am enjoying it very much! Good service and a fair price from this vendor.
Nice light wine for a glass or two at the end of the day. I'm a huge fan of 'earthy' and I got some with this wine. Just finished my last bottle yesterday; going back for more. :-)
