This flavorful Italian red is made from organic grapes grown on hillside vineyards in the central Italian wine region of Abruzzo. There, warm and dry summers allow for the perfect ripening conditions for the classic Montepulciano.
Cool breezes from the Apennine mountains and the Adriatic Sea provide relief from the intense sunshine. This cooling factor preserves acidity in the grapes and freshness in the wine. The grapes are fermented under strict temperature control in stainless steel tanks resulting in a smooth and elegant red wine that is uniquely expressive. The wine is matured for 6-8 months in a blend of tank and barrel before being bottled.
