This crisp, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc comes from the sun-swept hills and valleys of Northern California. Golden berries ripen in the warmth of the day and are cooled just enough by Pacific breezes to maintain their lip-smacking juiciness.
While this Sauvignon Blanc does have some grapefruit notes, they are much more subtle than those from New Zealand. The climate in California is warmer and the sugars ripen quicker than the flavors, so the farmers tend to leave them on the vine for longer. As a result, grapes lose their acidity and become a bit fatter than the more crisp and intensely fragrant versions from New Zealand. With lower acidity, this wine’s peachy, tropical flavors really pop!
