While Argentina may be best known for its Malbec, the country produces a diversity of wines. And Lot 53 is the perfect introduction to the power, potential and crowd-pleasing nature of Argentine Cabernet.
This wine is made by a well-regarded family-owned winery in Mendoza. The grape vines are located more than 800 meters above sea level and are irrigated from the mineral rich water from the Andes mountains. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 6 months in a blend of new and recently used French oak.
A melody of black currants and red cherries rises above a backdrop of leather and toast. On the palate, you'll taste juicy, dark berry fruit along with a trickle of sweet spice and savory plums. Serve with grilled rib eye, portabella mushrooms and hearty meat dishes.

Clean ,fruity, nice.
This cab is definitely worth twice the price. Delicious and complex with a long mellow finish. I highly recommend it.
Very, very nice Cab and especially for the money. My wife and I don't often agree on wine, but we both loved this one!
