The Chianti region of Tuscany extends from the city of Siena in the south to Florence in the north. Between those two cities, vines of Sangiovese grow on high hills where the intense summer heat is kept in check by the cool mountain air. Harvest occurs when the grapes are fully ripe and ready to produce a wine with body, freshness and classic aromas of red cherries, leather and spice.
Expressive aromas of dried cherries and fresh flowers along with a mild fragrance of vanilla, leather and sweet spice. The wine showcases a texture that balances the naturally high acidity of Sangiovese with its ripe red fruit flavors and firm tannins.

My new favorite wine! I don’t have a lot of money to spend on a case of wine whenever I feel inclined but this wine was worth it.
Fills you mouth and has an interesting red meat like flavor and other subtle, to be determined yet, flavors. I'm only on the beginning of the first glass. It has a good acid balance and the flavor emanates from the mid tongue. I anticipated a full bodiedness and was surprised to find it a bit on the thin side. I like it and would recommend it. I don't smoke cigars, but I think this would go good with a cigar.
The 90+ Cellars Lot 144 Chianti is my go-to red for at-home drinking. The price - and most importantly the taste - is right. If you like an goes-down-easy Italian red, this one's for you.
This is one great deal for the money and tastes great!!
very nice easy to drink smooth
