The Mosel River winds its way northeast from the Vosges Mountains of France until it joins Germany's Rhine. Above this twisting waterway is a magnificent patchwork of vineyards and ancient castles that cling to steep, verdant hillsides. In this fairy tale land the world's best Riesling is made.
The grapes are picked from vines grown in predominantly slate soils on steep slopes throughout the Mosel Saar Ruwer valleys. To be qualified as “steep slopes” 100% of the fruit must come from classified vineyards which have an incline of at least 30%. In this area of Mosel, the average incline of vineyards is 45%. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, resulting in a crisp, off-dry style Riesling.
Fragrant aromas of white peach, nectarine and Bosc pear backed by pastoral scents of hay or straw. Slightly sweet and refreshingly juicy, you may just be inclined to sip it faster than a Maybach on the autobahn.

Dear Wine People, Here is my review of your Riesling lot 66 wine. I don't remember tasting Riesling before and was surprised at how sweet the grape is. The sweetness, the mildness, and the low alcohol content lead me to put this wine in the class we in our neighborhood call "Girlie Wine." Because of the pleasant taste from start to finish and the clean feeling it has, I must say that it is the best "Girlie" wine I have ever tasted. Cheers! Gurnie Dobbs, Gila, NM

This is a wine that comes thru on the flavors described on the label. The peach and pear flavors are clear, but not overpowering. A refreshing Riesling!
