There’s nothing quite like New England in the fall, so for our latest episode of the 90+ Cellars Wine Trucks Sessions, we headed back up to the coastal New England town of Swampscott, Mass. to talk transitional fall wines. Brett teamed up again with wine educator and owner of Sip Wine Education, Maia Gosselin, to round up three of their favorite wines to sip as the temperatures dip and the leaves begin to turn.

Lot 172 Lambrusco
Why we love it:
- Lambrusco continues to be a growing trend, and for good reason: it pairs well with a range of flavors because of its crispness, effervescence, and slight touch of sweetness.
- This sparkling red wine makes a great aperitif and is best served slightly chilled.
- When it comes to food pairings, think rustic pizza or a big bowl of spicy chili.
Lot 177 Bourgogne Chardonnay
Why we love it:
- Chardonnay is known as the Queen of Grapes, and Burgundy is her true home.
- If buttery, heavily oaked Chardonnay isn’t for you, or has even turned you off of the grape altogether, we guarantee this Bourgogne Chardonnay will convert you. This wine has minimal oak aging and an elegant creaminess perfect for the transition to fall.
- We love to pair this wine with dishes that bring out the citrus flavors and are equally toasty and delicious: think baked haddock or roasted chicken.
Lot 160 Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Why we love it:
- If you love a good California or Oregon Pinot Noir, your global education of the grape wouldn’t be complete without getting familiar with Bourgogne Rouge.
- This wine strikes a beautiful balance between texture and acidity. Grab a bottle if you’re looking to impress and please a crowd -- this will be the first empty bottle of the evening!
- This Reserve Pinot Noir pairs well with a wide range of flavors, making it a great choice for Thanksgiving. And on non-holidays, try it with grilled or roasted salmon, or anything with a mushroom base.
