Summer is finally, finally here! After what was a very long winter for most of us, we’re ready to make the most of these upcoming months of fun in the sun. You probably don’t need any more reason than that to celebrate, but just in case you do we have some great news: we’re bringing The Weekender back!
That’s right, our fun pack of summer sippers is back, better, and bluer than ever (just like a sunny summer sky). Included are three of our favorite summertime wines — Lot 2 Sauvignon Blanc, Lot 42 Pinot Grigio, and Lot 23 Malbec, — Cork Hole, and pairing ideas for virtually any sunny day activity. The best part? This neat little package is available for $34.99 – ground shipping included.
It’s hard to choose which part of this year’s Weekender we’re most excited about, but it’s safe to say that like wine, a little music is a great addition to anything fun you have planned this summer. So without further ado, we’d like to share our favorite wine and music pairings for the summer:
Fun, zingy, and crowd-pleasing wine needs an upbeat song like this to match. Break out this wine and this jam to get the pool party started (whipped cream bikinis optional).
Summer country songs are like old friends – you know they're always going to come back around, and they're always going to treat you well. That's how you can think of our Argentinian Malbec, which is our top-selling red…an old friend to many. We've always got it around, and it always tastes great.
It doesn’t matter who you are, you can get down to Justin Timberlake. So it’s only fitting that we chose this song to pair with fan-favorite Lot 2. It’s a fruity, easy-drinking wine but be careful, one too many and you may try to bust out in some JT-esque dance moves as you listen.
Rosé is one of those wines that's meant to be enjoyed in a certain setting. Envision yourself sitting outside on a porch (or better yet – on a boat!), feeling the summer breeze pass over you. It's one heck of a hot day, so you're grateful for that breeze to take the edge off just a bit. And you're glad you have a glass of pink wine in front of you to complete the cool-off process. Makes me feel fine, indeed.
Summer nights are made for sitting around a campfire with a few good friends, enjoying some great wine, and sharing stories. Whether you’re reflecting on your first official beach day or savoring one of your last summer nights, this Pinot is simply perfect.
In honor of the start of summer, pop some bottles with two of our favorite old-school rappers and cheers to parties, barbeques, and beaches!
And on that note, time to cue up the music and pick up a few Weekenders for the summer! Do you have a favorite summer song? What about a great wine to pair with it? Let us know in the comments!
