Father’s Day is right around the corner, and Dad deserves the very best. Whether you’re treating yourself, Dad, or preparing for a day spent with Dad, make sure there’s wine involved. Pour a glass and celebrate with some of our Father’s Day wine recommendations.
Spring Mountain District – Napa Valley, CA
If Dad likes high-end Napa Cabs from big-name wineries, there’s no better choice than our Lot 150 Cabernet Sauvignon from Spring Mountain AVA. This wine comes to us from one of the oldest and most highly-regarded mountain wineries in Napa Valley, and it’s from the all-star 2013 vintage. The source winery sells this wine for $80, so it’s an incredible deal under the 90+ label. The perfect wine for a Father’s Day gift.
Napa Valley, CA
This red blend is another dad-worthy wine from Napa Valley. Along with some great mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend also features Merlot from Carneros, along with a small amount of Petite Sirah and Zinfandel. If Dad likes his wines big, bold and beautiful, Iron Side Napa Valley Reserve should be on his gift list.
Russian River Valley, CA
For the Pinot-loving old man, we’d recommend a bottle of our Lot 75 Russian River Pinot Noir. This wine is our best-selling reserve, and it comes from a high-scoring winery in the heart of one of California’s greatest regions for Pinot Noir.
You don’t need a celebration to pop a bottle of Champagne, but it sure doesn’t hurt. This year for Father’s Day, celebrate Dad by opening up our delicious Magic Door Champagne. This wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier that comes from top-notch vineyards in Champagne’s Marne Valley.
If Dad is more of an old-world wine fan, there’s no better choice than our Lot 26 Barolo. This wine comes from a small family producer in Piedmont, Italy and is easily one of the most impressive wines we have in our portfolio. If you really want to go all out for Dad, check out our single Cru Barolos – Lot 139 and Lot 140 – but, either way, we know he’ll be impressed with your taste.
