This past Monday a gathering was held atop the Prudential Center in the SkyWalk Observatory, known to be one of the best places to look out on the city of Boston. Guests dined on munchies served by Top of the Hub, a restaurant which offers one of the best restaurant views in Boston. Wines from both 90+ Cellars and Ironside Cellars, some of the best values coming out of a Boston-based company, were poured. All of that sounds pretty incredible, but it also all makes sense given that Monday's soiree celebrated Boston's Best – those honored in The Improper Bostonian's annual “best-of” issue.
Cocktail sponsor Cointreau mixed up three signature cocktails (Rickey style) for the event, and even let guests who wanted to try hands at mixology do their own mixing! Of course, pre-batched backups were ready in case of a drink fail.
Beer sponsor Budweiser served beer from carts dispersed throughout the venue, and VIPs were treated to our Lot 50 Prosecco as they entered the party.
Along with the Prosecco, the wine poured also included 90+ Cellars Lot 2 Sauvignon Blanc and Lot 99 Chardonnay (our newest white!), as well as Ironside Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. It's very exciting for us to expose more people to that wine in particular!
Oh, and the food! Top of the Hub did a great job serving up a variety, from Mexican-inspired to summer BBQ classics to fancy seafood.
The passed appetizers included turkey corn dogs, risotto balls, and some roasted duck topped crackers that were definitely a crowd favorite.
A line quickly formed for The Danger Booth photo station – check out the gallery here! Our team made sure to get in on it.
The decor of the event felt very classy and luxurious. Reserve Modern did an excellent job setting up a sleek environment that matched the white, yellow, and black theme of the event perfectly.
The party lasted until 8:30PM and even after it ended, many guests headed up to floors to the Top of the Hub to continue the celebrations in the bar area. After all, when you're Boston's Best, you certainly deserve to keep the party going. Thank you The Improper Bostonian for including us at the wine sponsor and for allowing us to share our wine with some fun fellow Bostonians – all while enjoying the best food and views in town!
Cheers,
Caitlin
